Tasks and planning

Connect a decision
to the work ahead.

Keep tasks emerging from a piece of work visible on the same Wall. Review status, responsibility, dates and dependencies through different views.

Turn the work into clear tasks.

A task card holds a title, description, status, assignee or team name, start and finish dates, and labels. Work discussed in a meeting remains traceable in its place on the board.

A task card is a local work record in Xohre. Duplicating a card creates a new task; viewing the same task in another view does not create a copy.

See the same task from different perspectives.

Inspect details in a table, group by status in Kanban, or work by assignee or label in a column view. See start and finish dates together on a timeline. Changing the view does not change the task’s identity.

A status or date change appears in other task views on the same Wall. You can review the work without managing separate copies for the meeting and for follow-up.

See what needs to happen first.

Inspect a dependency between two tasks from the card editor or its connection on the board. A table, timeline and visual card can show the same dependency.

Showing a dependency is not automatic scheduling. Dates do not shift automatically in the current scope. Entering an assignee’s name does not automatically send a notification or create an assignment in an external task system.

EXAMPLE ACTIVITY

Break an improvement decision into trackable work.

The team has agreed to create a new form and run a short pilot to address delays in customer approval.

01

Identify the tasks

Create separate cards for preparing the form, reviewing it and starting the pilot.

02

Make responsibility clear

Add descriptions, responsible names and target dates to each card.

03

Show the sequence

Use a dependency to show that the form must be reviewed before the pilot starts.

04

Review progress together

Review status in Kanban and dates on the timeline using the same tasks.

AT THE END

A set of tasks beside the decision, with understandable status and relationships.

WHAT REMAINS?

01

Tasks followed through different views with one identity

02

Visible dates and predecessor relationships

03

Work descriptions that retain the meeting context

YOUR QUESTIONS

A closer
look.

Are these the same as tasks in a source system?

A local task card and a source-record card are separate. Operations or synchronisation in an external system depend on the scope of the supported connection.

Does this include full Gantt and calendar automation?

This description covers the current task, Kanban, table and timeline experience. Advanced calendar, calculation and automatic scheduling capabilities are separate targets.
